Kraft Butter Chicken Pizza by Fabulous Faith

Kraft Butter Chicken Pizza
The standard pepperoni and cheese although delicious can get boring over time.  Tonight, let’s try something new, healthy and exotic!

Fabulous Faith, Toronto’s #1 Private Chef has come up with this healthful twist on an Indian classic favorite using the Kraft products you know, love and probably have on hand already!  Perfect for lunch, dinner or any special occasion; this recipe adds all of the ethnic flavours you crave without the guilt of all of the fat.

Kraft Butter Chicken Pizza

Ingredients:

1 Kraft Cheese Pizza Pie Mix (Contains crust, sauce and cheese)
½ Cup Kraft Light Miracle Whip
¼ cup Kraft Light Catalina Dressing
½ a small (5.5 oz) can tomato paste
1 small onion diced or 3/4 cup approx.
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 medium sized ripe tomato, chopped
2 tbsp. Curry powder
½ tsp. Freshly Cracked Black pepper
1 tsp. Fresh Thyme
½ tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cayenne pepper
1 tsp. Cumin
½ tsp. Garam Masala (optional but highly recommended)
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
1 tbsp. olive oil

Guilt free toppings (optional):
A few slices of red onion
A few slices of red pepper
A few pickled hot pepper slices
¼ cup chopped cilantro (after pizza is cooked, recommended)

Instructions:
Prepare dough as per package directions, spread over large cookie sheet and set aside.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

In a large non-stick skillet fry the chicken over medium high heat in the olive oil

After a few minutes and when the chicken is no longer pink, add the onion and stir

Once the onion begins to turn clear add the garlic and the chopped tomato

As soon as is starts to sizzle season with all of the spices and fry an additional minute or until fragrant

Fabulous Faith`s Butter Chicken Spice Blend

Add the Miracle Whip, Catalina dressing, tomato paste and package of tomato sauce and stir to combine

Reduce heat and simmer until thickened (around 5 minutes) remove from heat and set aside

Smear the prepared crust with the sauce and top with the chicken

Sprinkle the cheese over the chicken and sauce and top with the optional toppings of your choice

Bake for 10 – 15 minutes on bottom rack or until the sides of the crust are golden brown and the

Fabulous Faith at the Toronto Marlies Game!

On Saturday March 7th 2015 I had the opportunity to attend the Toronto Marlies game at Ricoh Coliseum with my daughters.  I know very little about sports as I have always considered the kitchen to be my arena of choice; so when I had received an email earlier that week offering us tickets I jumped at the opportunity to teach my girls something new while having a fun family outing.

We arrived at the stadium a few minutes early and grabbed our awesome swag bags (thank you MLSE!) and put on our awesome Marlies gear.  We heard cheering from in the stadium and saw lots of vendors with delicious goodies.  Advancing towards them, the girls decided on nachos and pizza.
I was thrilled to find a salted old fashioned pretzel and ice cold Canadian definitely putting me in the traditional Canadian Hockey Spirit.

The Marlies game was really fast paced and competitive the rink seems much more up close and personal when you are in the Arena than when you watch it on TV.   In between the periods they have generous enough intermissions for you to head up and grab more good eats.  Luxurious varieties of poutine are available along with all kinds of gourmet hot dogs; including a scrumptious poutine-dog with crispy potato sticks, brown gravy and cheese curds.  They have traditional stadium favorites like popcorn, cotton candy, onion rings and many more.

So that’s big hot guys in uniform (plus tons of soldiers in uniform as I was there for army day OMG!!) great food, beer, pretzels, awesome on ice action…. Like could this be the most Canadian family activity ever?  Well I will have to one up it the next time! I’ll make the kids sing Celine Dion in the car, wear plaid shirts and walk up in our snow shoes from the parking so we can win the most Canadian family of the year award! Watch out! Lol

Planning on being in Toronto any time soon? Are you looking for an awesome family activity? Date Idea?  Girls or boys night out?  Try attending a game for the Toronto Marlies Hockey Team!  Great food, beer, action and all at a way more affordable price than the other Toronto teams.  This leaves you more money for what’s important, food and beer.  Oh, and don’t forget to grab some Marlies gear too! Super cute and warm for these frigid winter months.
